I am going a little off base with this article about supernatural photography. First, yes I believe there are things we do not know or understand that we run into on an occasion. That does not mean every dust particle or dandruff particle you photograph is a supernatural orb. Please. The idea of photographing anything supernatural is a fascination for many photographers and others alike. So let us get started.
Curly photography as I call it is not a picture of your body’s energy field. If it was we could record it many other ways. It is simply the changing of the chemical reaction between your skin and the media you use. I have done it many times and used people in great health and people who were on death’s door and there was no difference. If there was anything to it the process would be used in medical facilities and the insurance companies would pay for the tests because it could help them pre existing condition system they used when this fad started. It was once said that a fool is born every second. If you want o pay someone to do it by all means go ahead but realize you are just buying a useless image.
I was sent a series of pictures of a person being visited by orbs. This reminds me of those winged little creatures everyone said were angels or a new species. Well guess what. Wrong. Those were just the normal issues with dust and cameras nothing else. As you have seen all that hype has been dispelled and it has died off. Again, people with knowledge checked it out and it was proved not to be supernatural. Get used to it.
If you have pets in the house forget the orbs. You more than likely have a large amount of dust in the air along with the dander particles from them and you. If you photograph them with orbs around them you really should check out the area for dust. If they are on the couch or bed, well enough said about that for me the dust is flying around the house. Just sit down sometime with light coming in the window and look at the dust in the air. It is always there and always all around where you take photographs.
Pros know that even with their sealed cameras that dust and dirt get into the camera and cause random orbs and dark spots in images. We clean our sensors, cameras and lenses to help remove them but it is impossible to get it all. If it is round it is dust.
I recently photographed a UFO in the mountains in Colorado. It was night very late. I am posting one of the photos here. Now before people take off and declare it is alien like they do with dust being orbs we need to establish something. The object is real, it was in the air and it moved. It appears to be dropping or shooting something in one of the frames. Do we have a legitimate UFO? Yes, we do. It is unknown or unidentified. It is an object and being in the air above the mountains is must be flying. So we meet the criteria for being a UFO. Does that make it alien? No, it does not. It means exactly what it says. It is a UFO nothing more and nothing less. Just like 999 out of a thousand orbs photographed with P&S cameras and cell phones. They are just dust particles. In many cases there could be hundreds between you and your subject. Learn to work around them and not put them out there to make people think you have a unique image or pet. By the way yes dust particles move around as they are floating in the air.
You moving, the pet moving or jumping up on the couch can cause a major dust storm that you normally do not pay attention to. Try photographing that one time and see the hundreds of orbs floating in the air. Do it right and you will get great shots of the dust along with tens or hundreds of orbs.
You can always find an orb whisperer. I am sure someone out there is trying to scam people on that one. Just like ghosts and angel whisperers. Notice they never existed until the movie Horse Whisperer and now everyone has a new job as some kind of whisperer. If they were real they would have been famous 20 years ago. I am not talking internet famous. I mean seriously famous. Get a life people they are scam artists preying on the weak. If you are involved with them take a closer look at what you believe or do not believe and if you think ghosts or Angels need or answer to a whisperer you need to rethink your position.
Did the angels in the bible have to find a medium to talk to Mary or Abraham? No they did it up close and personal. Remember that angels are from the bible so if you have problems with it you should not believe in the creatures it names or that God created. Oh you might have forgotten that part of the story. Just like vampires, no history or stories until a certain book came out. We have gotten so accustomed to just believing anything someone says that we fail to check things out. Where are all the bodies from the vampires killing them? Just like evolution. The simple math test shows issues with it. It takes two people to start the chain of life. If they grow the population at a rate of about 1.5 to 2 percent a year the planet has 6 billion people on it in 1100 years. Oops. How many will be on the planet in a hundred thousand years if we have more than just the two that start it. In a hundred thousand years they planet would be knee deep in bodies and people. The math says that we would have 6 billion people multiplied millions of times. Sorry we have no room to bury that many and we have never found anything even close to that many bodies. Where are they? If they lived and died they are somewhere unless we burned them all.
